 Shaun Wright Phillips - The Second Coming On a dream return to the sky blue of Manchester City, Shaun Wright Phillips scored twice as City beat Sunderland with a terrific second half display. City looked a far more balanced side than in previous games, with the prodigal son taking up a fairly free role up front. After a fairly quiet first half, which ended with Stephen Ireland slotting home a Jo cross slightly against the run of play; City launched into a commandin second hlaf diaply which saw the home side frustrated by City's slick passing and Wright Phillips' eye for goal. Next up Chelsea, and with te addition of Robinho, who seemed destined for Chelsea, it could be a cracker. |
